Why do we place the leg pockets in the front?

Functional design & new solutions

"Ever since we made our first pair of trousers, we've chosen to place the pockets in the front, not on the side. Some find it controversial. We find it smart.

As a young brand, we're incredibly grateful for all the feedback and questions we receive from you regarding our clothing and its functionality. We wouldn't make it without it, and it's something that constantly drives us forward. There are always different approaches to functional design, and how we've chosen to do it often differs quite a bit from the common solutions you might be accustomed to. It's a part of our DNA, and through our clothing, we want to encourage our users to explore new solutions with us.

One question we receive more frequently than others is why we have chosen to place our pockets in the front. Here are some of the reasons:

1. The ergonomic design is advantageous for functional anatomy.

2. You have full visual access to your pocket-placed equipment.

3. It enables optimized ventilation through the side zipper (not possible with side-placed pockets).

4. Drawing a knife is always safer from a location within your field of vision.

5. It minimizes the risk of overloaded pockets. Too much equipment in your pockets can negatively affect your mobility.

6. You avoid the risk of self-swinging, which typically occurs when you have overloaded side-placed pockets.

7. It's an optimal placement that easily provides access to tools and mobile phones, for example.

8. Reduced risk of getting stuck and damaging your clothes in tight environments, such as a car seat or uneven terrain.
